Baby Bedding Reveal

I am so glad to finally be able to share with you the baby bedding that I made for my first niece who will be entering this world in June. I went to Miami this past weekend for my sister-in-law’s shower and I was so happy to have a chance to see the bedding in the baby’s room. I was only able to finish 3 of the 6 bumper pads in time for the shower, but you get the idea.

{Keep in mind, this was a dry run and it will look much better when all 6 bumper pads are done and actually tied on, and when the bed skirt is not just thrown on.}

Of course I had to make a matching Binky Bag ;)

And here’s what it looks like with the just purchased, pale yellow crib sheet.

(I know these pictures aren’t the best, but I was putting on the crib sheet literally about 5 minutes before I had to leave for the airport.)

Here’s a closer look at the fabric in case you missed it from my earlier post.

And if you’re interested, I loosely followed this tutorial for the crib bumpers along with the pattern that came with the crib bumper batting . And for the crib skirt I used this tutorial and this tutorial.

It really was an easy (but time consuming) project. Have any of you ever made your own crib bedding? Let me know if you have any questions about how I made mine!

  10. I just saw this post on Serenity Now and it was perfect timing. I need to make bumpers for my daughter's upcoming arrival of her first baby boy. And I was going to research the net for patterns and now you saved me a lot of time, thank you! Your niece is one lucky baby, I love the patterns and how professional sewn they look. Can't wait to start the project now.
