I was in need of a birthday gift for a couple of my girlfriends and I decided a Fat Quarter Apron would be the perfect gift!
So off to the fabric store I went. The great thing about a Fat Quarter Apron is that it only uses a fat quarter! So I splurged on some fabrics that otherwise would've been out of my price range, but were only $2.50 for a fat quarter!
Here's what I came up with...

I used coordinating double fold bias tape around the perimeter of my apron and double fold quilt binding for the ties (I simply sewed it closed and it was perfect!).

So all in all, each apron cost about $7 to make! And they are super cute! I didn't fancy mine up too much, but there are lots of cool things you could do to them using decorative trim, adding pockets, appliques, the possibilities are endless! And just in time for Christmas!
Now I just have to make one for myself!
Partying here this week:

Polly Want a Crafter

these are adorable, rebecca! and they would be reat christmas gifts- just pair them with some whisks and spatulas and some pancake mix!

I love these! Can you possibly share the dimensions of them? Or, better yet, a tutorial? I think these would be wonderful presents this year!
ReplyDelete@Cadiedid - Thanks! They would make great Christmas presents! I wish I could take credit for the design, but I followed Prudent Baby's tutorial. Here's their link:
