OUTdated to UPdated Frame

Remember when I asked you all for help figuring out how to update this frame?

I was still lovin' the painting, but not the outdated frame. The consensus seemed to be to paint it black.

So that's what I did. And here's what it looks like now...

I simply took the picture out, cleaned the frame and spray painted it black. The painting really pops now!

What do you all think? I think it looks 100% better! Especially now that I see the before and after together! Thanks to everyone who weighed in on this design dilemma. You all were right, black was the way to go!

I haven't hung it on the wall yet, because it is going in the room that is getting a total makeover this summer (living room/dining room). I can't wait to lighten and brighten those red walls!
