I'm pretty new to the world of spray paint. As I've completed several DIY projects using spray paint (lamps, frames, play kitchen) , I am a total believer in it now! But I was so naive to think that all spray paints were created equal. I am now wise to the magic of Krylon and feel compelled to share my discovery with you.
I used to shop for spray paint at Lowes or Home Depot because that’s where I went for DIY supplies. I would pick my spray paint based on color, not on any brand loyalty. While some of the brands have good colors, I was usually disappointed overall by the selection. And most of the other brands hurt my fingers and wrists, but I’d just work through the pain.
Not anymore! Krylon is the best of both worlds! Awesome color choices and no more painful spray painting. The magic is in the nozzle. Not only does it spray easily (avoiding finger cramping) but the nozzle is adjustable! See in the pics below how you can turn the little white piece? It allows you to change the direction of your spray so you can get in all of those hard to reach nooks and crannies.
So if you’re naive to spray paint as I once was, find an easy project to start with and by all means, go buy yourself a can of this Krylon paint! I bought mine at Wal Mart but you could check their website to see where else they sell it in your area. They’ve even got some fun products like chalkboard paint and glow in the dark paint that I’m totally going to have to try.
If you’re new to the world of spray painting, I found the post “Everything I Know About Spray Painting!” by All Things Thrifty to be very helpful and informative.
And just in case you’re wondering, Krylon did not provide any compensation for this product review. I simply stumbled upon the awesomeness of their product and wanted to share it with all of you. But if they read this and want to send a little somethin’ somethin’ my way, I wouldn’t complain ;)
As you know, I'm a spray-paint-aholic and I really like Krylon too! Welcome to the addictive world of spraying everything in sight :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of krylon paints too. Have you tried the newer spray paint handles? You clip them on the top of your spray paint can and instantly have a squeeze trigger. Love it, love it, love it! I think I bought mine for around $10 when it first came out but as much as I spray paint it was well worth the price.
