I am in love...with a grocery store! Usually I can't get out of the grocery store without spending at least $80-$100. Not anymore! Here's what my cart looked like today...
It included 2 gallons of milk (hormone free!), 2 packages of ground turkey, cheese, butter, fruits/veggies, some canned goods, pasta, 2 bags frozen potatoes, and a few other odds and ends. My total bill? Are you ready for this? $47.06! The answer to my budgeting prayers? ALDI!
If you have an ALDI in your area and you HAVEN'T checked it out, you HAVE to go! It seems like we're all looking for ways to cut back on spending and usually your grocery bill is not one of those areas that you can cut, so it's very exciting to find inexpensive, good, quality food.
And they have two-seater carts which is SUPER convenient because it prevents all of those unwanted items from mysteriously making their way in to your cart! And you can shop about 12 times faster when both children are contained!
Anyway, I just had to share because it made my day! Don't be jealous if you don't have an ALDI close by, they might be coming your way soon! Anybody else out there lucky enough to have an ALDI in your area?

Do they take coupons?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so, but I've never asked. Most of their items are not name brand stuff so there wouldn't be coupons, but for the stuff that is name brand, I'm not sure if you can use coupons. I guess I should ask next time...maybe I could get my bill even lower!
ReplyDeleteThat were we go also, Love it, with 5 of us we need to go some where to save a bit and this is the place for sure!!
ReplyDeleteI love Aldi. The first time my sister took her new husband to Aldi, his comment was "I thought this was where poor people shopped." She quickly showed him the savings!
ReplyDeleteWe eat because I shop at Aldi! It's really ridiculous the prices that the other stores charge once you've gotten used to shopping at Aldi - I heart Aldi, too!
ReplyDeleteAm a Friendly Friday Follower and hope to see you at my blog, Dropped Stitches! Your blog is great!
