Future Project Friday #16 – Purses, and Bags and Totes, Oh My!

I have been really loving on some purses/totes/bags that I’ve seen lately. I've always been a big-purse-carrier (caution - it may be contagious) but even more so since having kids. I really do have to have a bag big enough for everything but the kitchen sink. When you combine my love for fabric with my affinity for large purses, you have a match made in heaven.

Here are some of the bags that I am currently loving on...

I am seriously in love with these totes over at Gussy Sews...Ok I'm pretty much in love with everything she makes. Go visit her shop and you'll totally understand!

How about this Kennedy Bag over at Hold My Bag? I don't know what it is with me and orange, but I am totally loving it! All of her fabrics are gorgeous. I could close my eyes, point to the computer screen and end up with a bag that I love!

Bag 3

The pleated cuteness factor on this bag over at Plumtickled Sews is seriously almost more than I can handle! And the little rosette??? Adorbs!
Bag 1

And how could you not be happy if you were carrying around this little (or rather big) number from Carried Away Bags?

Bag 2

I couldn't find a tutorial online for the "perfect" bag, so I bought a Heather Bailey pattern (similar to the bag above) at my local quilt shop today because I think this will be the.perfect.bag. It will be my first attempt at making a bag (oh yeah, and following a pattern!) so I’ll keep you posted on my progress.

I'm going to use these beautiful Japanese fabrics I bought (on sale!) from Hawthorne Threads. LOVE.THEM!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm going to help a friend paint her house to get it ready to put on the market. I told her as long as she feeds me and gives me as much Diet Coke as I want, I will paint all day (hey, it's a non-mommy day so I'm excited!).
How about all of you? Any big plans?
